R.L. Winston Quad Bamboo Rod 7'9" 2/2 #5For sale here is a R. L. Winston quadrate bamboo rod 7'9" 2 2 for a 4 or 5 weight line. Serial no. 3169. Made in 1996. The rod is in excellent+ condition having been fished very sparingly and very well cared for by its original and only owner. All sections are full length and straight. Moderately tempered cane with transparent honey colored wraps. Oxblood tipping at the winding check, signature wrap, ferrules, and tip tops. The script remains clean

Attractively styled cigar grip slopes back to “Catskill” style reel seat lip
The handwriting matches another known Payne rod in our inventory with the same style script
The rod remains in excellent- original condition
The reel and spools are in near mint condition with only the smallest
