Pickard, John -- Model 7613 P.E. Bamboo RodFor sale here is a John Pickard Model 7613 7'6" 2 2 5wt bamboo rod, his rendition of the classic Lyle Dickerson 7613 taper. Made in 2009 with Dickerson's equipment, ferrules, reel seat fittings, and pre embargo cane. The rod is in near mint condition; there are some light blemishes in the butt cap. There is also a very small chip in the varnish at the ferrule on one of the tips. All sections are full length and straight. Transparent dark honey colored

This rod is 90% mint with minor brassing on the inside of the tip-tops and a few small ring and reel foot imprints to the butternut reel seat being the principal signs of use

This attention to detail produces a rod that is smooth casting and delicately delivers a fly with incredible accuracy

Both sections are full length and straight save a very slight set in the butt section

This rod is more than mint

The rod may have received a light varnish touch-up over the wraps and the stripping guide has been re-wrapped with slightly darker silks
