Gary Howells Fly Rod 7' 2/2 #4A fantastic Gary Howells fly rod, 7' 2 piece, 2 tip built for a #4 line. 2 1 8 oz. Ser #6019. Mint condition or lawn cast only. This rod was originally built for Bud Frasca in 1994. 2 up node pattern construction. This rod has a delicate medium action for a #4 weight line. The tan colored cane is wrapped brown with yellow edges. Chrome guides. Excellent varnish. "G. H. Howells, 7' 2 1 8 oz. #6019" inscribed on rod shaft. Keeper one flat right.

which appears to be filled with glue though not open
remembrances of men and fishing trips
Wraps are a light amber with brown edges and dark brown at ferrules
with jet black sideplates (in what looks to me to be black anodized aluminum)

Reverse the bank spear and use the nut to screw it in place
Near mint only a tiny scuff patch
