Hardy St George Junior Fly Reel SpitfireWe're lucky to have one of these fine Hardy St George Junior reels that Hardy reissued approximately ten years ago, this one in the desirable "spitfire" finish. The original St George Junior was manufactured from 1928 1963 and remains one of the most loved models by classic reel aficionados. Just 2 9 16" in diameter it is perfect for smaller rods and light trout fishing. Each of these is machined from bar stock and hard anodized, with a smooth foot
The seat is an almost exact match to the reel seats used on the original pre-fire Hunt rods
Sam was an ace machinist and spent some of his time away from rod making as a Tool and Die maker
