Such pieces, popular from around 1890 to 1915, brought together two distinct artistic movements: Japonesque and Art Nouveau, and the art form is generally credited to Elisabeth Bont and Georges Pierre. This one has been fashioned after the likeness of a moth, its creator utilising different coloured sections of the horn to pick out the head and antennae. It has a
