Joyful Figure (Matisse Inspired) Art Print

Joyful Figure (Matisse Inspired) Art PrintBecause Matisse knew restraint, the cobalt blue hits harder here. A black dancing figure reaches for a yellow sun, surrounded by green leaf shapes, a pink star and red crescent moons on a soft cream ground. Hang it in a living room or creative studio that needs a lift it brings movement and colour without crowding the wall. It sits well above a low sideboard, a reading chair, or a desk where you want a daily dose of joy. Pair with pale oak, warm cream

Portrait format means it sits happily on a narrower stretch between doors or windows

a real plant or two

The card shape is graphic

The blush tones warm a cool wall

dropped onto deep black with pink stems

The reds glow under pendant lights and the sandy stems pick up oak

We like little astronauts best when they come with a little abrasion

and looks especially good on chalky white or soft plaster walls

or above a console where the colour can do its work

pot patterns and foliage doing the talking — let it lead

and the slice of blue sea pulls the eye through the window

Skip it if your walls are already loaded with pattern — this piece needs a little breathing room to do its job
