Ten Dutch silver demitasse spoons. 19th century.Ten antique 'demitasse' silver spoons. They are small in size so today would be called coffee spoons. Dutch 19th century. They have 4 dots grouped in a diamond pattern as decoration on the handles and are fully marked. In excellent condition no damage or repair. Length of spoons 9. 5 cm Bowls 3 x 1. 5 cm at their widest. Stock no. GO6

The honey coloured material is a tagua nut from the South American ivory nut palm which can be carved and turned when new but hardens over time

There is a small repair to the top right corner where the pin hinge broke through the surface

The centre of the lid has a petalled flower and the corners fans

In excellent condition but with some age related wear and a small knock to the rim of the base

5 cm  including the tassel

It is a dark chocolate brown in colour and the finished article is hard to distinguish from wood

It has an applied decorative band and a wavy rim

The interior has general wear to the edges of the green silk

They are sitting on a small pedestal of filigree and have six applied 6-petalled flowers on the side of the bowls

The interior is also decorated with strips of straw and the base covered by blue paper
