18th Century Italian Still life - BiscuitsThis is a wonderful late 18th century oil on canvas still life depicting a very tempting selection of biscuits. The quality of the work is very good and is housed in the original frame. The subtle colours are hugely decorative and the age of the piece is evident in its originality. These came from a house in Florence and I have three others clearly done by the same hand but differing still life scenes. All available individually. Height 55cm Width 77cm

what happens is when the smelting pots starts life they are usually black or dark red

there is slight discolouration but we have cleaned this the best we can and thankfully what remains doesn't take a way from the piece
