Inscribed with Voltaire's poem to the base: 'Qui que tu sois, voici ton matre: Il l'est, le fut, ou le doit tre' 'Whoever you are, here is your master: He is, was or will be' Ideal for Valentine's Day gift. France, circa 1880. In good antique condition, minor wear to decoration, one wing and one claw foot re attached. Measurements: H 16 cm x D 11 cm x W 10 cm.
