Dingley Fly Reel 3 1/2" - Perfect-Style LHWFor sale here is a Dingley 3 1 2" Perfect style fly reel in very good condition. Retailed by Alex Martin Ltd as the "Thistle" model. Foot is original and unaltered 2. 5". No end play or wobble a very tight reel! Spool width is 0. 85". Marked with a "2" throughout. Nicely crazed erinoid handle spins freely. Most of the original leading on the reel has worn away. Reel springs have been tuned for LEFT HAND RETRIEVE and the drag is nice and strong. This
It is signed "Aroner 7' #5 DF Hunt Pattern"
The rod features impregnated dark straw colored cane with cinnamon wraps and pale yellow tipping
plastic on the grip
The butt cap is maker-stamped with the serial number
This is set up for RHW
The ferrule size on both tips is 15/64
Comes with original black neoprene case
The Duronze ferrules are size 14/64 with an excellent fit
An excellent Saracione Islamorada #8 reel
The rod remains in mint original condition with one exception
retaining most original dark lead finish/lacquer
and ferrules (great ferrule fit but shows some bluing loss)
