This fly comes from the collection of a Sullivan County sportsman who, as a kid, grew up around many of the legendary Catskill fly tiers. His uncle was also close friends with many of them, as was he. He was friends with Poul and got these flies directly from him. Further provenance details will be provided upon request. The flies included are one each of the following patterns
with the top three sections and the combo grip
A very nice small stream rod from the Jenkins shop
1977 - 7 volumes with one duplicate
Late 19th century reel (presumably made in 1895)
The decals and script remain clean and bold free of any defect
and bright guides and ferrules
Very slight use marks
For sale here is a stunning reel not often seen - a Thomas and Thomas Avatar salmon reel - 4" diameter
The original 3" long smooth brass foot is unblemished
