Peerless 3A Fly Reel

Peerless 3A Fly ReelA nice Peerless 3A fly reel, RHW with an adjustable drag. Lightly used with a bit of rim rash but otherwise in great condition. Heavy trout reel or can be used for light salmon or steelhead fishing. I personally like these for salmon fishing as the light weight and good drag work well with the small salmon rods I like to use on the Gaspe and in Nova Scotia. Silver crank, rim, and foot. Black side plates. The reel has a white colored line with backing

An excellent Bogdan 00 salmon reel set up for RHW

it has the classic Hawes-style grip which tapers larger toward the front

Excellent used condition with lots of life left in it

There is a little bit of patina here and there as well as a line on it

Overall this is a nice example of Payne's salmon models

The grip is lightly soiled indicating some use

Just a tiny amount of grip soiling betrays any use
