The Luck Elephant (wood print | orange on a blue and mustard background)I was once told that its considered lucky for an elephant to be depicted with its trunk in the air. I like to depict my subject with unusual texture I wanted to add a texture that would illustrate the treacherous nature of luck. The elephants skin was inspired a a type of sea coral and I added the fire to add a sense of luck that is smoldering under the surface almost unattainable. All wood prints are printed on birch finishing plywood and come ready

I really like the  contrast in textures and color that I achieved with this piece

It was for a team project thing and they were called the Argonauts

I love sugar skulls

illustrate the "Obstacles" in a sea turtles life

I wanted to draw a detailed sugar skull and decided I wanted a sort of sun burst background but I wanted it to have a pattern texture to it

So I decided to make this piece a distinctly Florida turtle
