Fish Basket

Fish BasketA charming spring loaded fish basket which a fisherman would have used to trap his catch. Baskets like these were used to keep the day's catch safe from birds of prey or other predators. The basket collapses for easy transportation. Metal baskets supplanted plant based alternatives due to their durability and eventually their price. The basket with some warping to the bottom, consistent with use, and overall in excellent shape.
