Mills Standard Bamboo Rod 8'6 3/2For sale here is a refinished Mills Standard Bamboo Rod. 8'6" 3 2 one tip is 1 2" short. The rod weighs 5 oz. Ferrules are size 11 64 & 17 64. Both tips have slight sets. Ferrule fit is good on all but one tip (too loose). The varnish is soft and there are bag marks. Nice restoration job for someone ; )

Comes with a dark brown suede draw-string pouch

the writing on the tube sticker appears to be consistent with the penmanship on most Larry Foster era rods after Tom Maxwell's departure

There is a bit of loss to the white script on the butt and the Rodon decal is lifting at the edges

The bright nickel silver ferrules are size 17/64 and feature indented witness marks

Much of the original leaded finish remains

Nickel silver cap and ring reel seat over a combination cork and walnut spacer

I'm not sure what more you can say about this reel other than that it is one of the finest reels made today

The script is in the characteristic Edwards' yellow and the Abbey & Imbrie decal is in fine condition
