and can easily be replaced with a string of a different size for perfect fitment
Evidently whoever stole this object was proud enough of their spoils to have it engraved
The doll has a cloth body
PLEASE NOTE that part of what made these volumes famous was the hand colored anatomy plates that these books contained
but can be easily replaced by a dowel from a craft store
and minor rust spots
These books were published by Houghton
while some are nice and dirty and grimy
Good overall condition with partial paper label on back
