The baseplate is compatible with Sachtler 16, OConnor 80mm, and Ronford Baker RBQ 80mm camera plates. It features a quick release locking lever that has a locking latch to secure it, and it allows you to use one hand to unlock it and remove your camera. The baseplate also features 1 4" 20 and 3 8" 16 tripod mounting threads.
