Gladius Heavy TanksA Gladius Heavy Tank is twice the tank of the Sabre. Literally it's twice as tough and has twice as many guns! Armed with either Twin Avenger Railguns or the huge Quake Accellerated Mortar, you've got some options too. Twin Avenger Railguns are excellent anti tank weapons (with twice the shots!). Meanwhile the Quake Accelerated Mortar is a solid Indirect fire weapon, able to take out most enemy vehicles, and with Devastator 3 against Scenery to boot.

The Broadsword can instead be armed with a Demolition Cannon

The Reaver's job is blasting apart tanks with a decent range for Scourge

it can be further upgraded with Genitor Torpedoes

With either Distortion Cannons or the 6 Attack Pulse Ioniser Battery (that's double the size of the one on the Mercury)

as most of the wreckage has been atomised and only few broken survivors are left

The Phalanx is armed with long broadsides of transition mass drivers and four Titanmetall 9K mass drivers in two traversable turrets

Add to that the ability to whisk Objectives straight back down into the tunnel and you have a unit that can single-handedly change the course of a battle
