1989 Fender Japan ST57 '57 Reissue Vintage Stratocaster (Natural)Made by the Fujigen factory in the late 1980's. This ST57 model was the base model '57 reissue from Fender Japan that was modified by a previous owner. Basswood body (that the previous owner stripped the finish off) with a maple neck shaped with the classic '57 slim C neck profile (7. 25" radius, 43mm nut, 648mm scale length), it weighs 3. 1kg's. Has a replacement loaded pickguard with what looks to be reasonably high quality alnico single coils and

output jack and generic ceramic single coil pickups

24 fret rosewood fingerboard (32" scale length and a 38mm nut) and weigh 3

Frets have plenty light pitting but are shiny and play well and the neck is straight with a functional truss

no structural repairs or breaks and it appears to be completely original

The frets are shiny and smooth with very little playwear

The scarf joint seems to have been reglued at some point but is solid with no movement
