Art Deco Purse 1930s Whiting Davis Rhinestone Silver Mesh Handbag Wedding Bridal BagThis is a lovely 1930's Whiting & Davis Art Deco silver mesh rhinestone clasp purse. The outside of the purse is in very good condition. It's a lovely shiny bag with a beautiful rhinestone clasp and a pretty Art Deco frame. It has no missing rhinestones and all have beautiful sparkle and coloration. The interior is in nice condition, with no rips or tears. It does have some slight age related discoloration to the white satin fabric. It is hallmarked

The lovely pale yellow and white guilloche lid features two hand painted roses surrounded by tiny blue flowers and green leaves

with only two very small and faint indentations to the back of the piece that are barely noticeable

but it has a lot of silver loss from age

The only thing we have found is that the handle has some wear and loose stitching

in wonderful working condition

It is hallmarked on the edge of the lip with "Sterling"

The lipstick case is hallmarked with the Schildkraut name

The piece also has a protective green felt bottom

It measures approximately 8 1/2 inches by 4 1/2 inches by 1/2 inch

It comes in a black organza gift pouch

Not only do they have mother of pearl on the barrels

and it's a truly unique treasure from the early 1900's
