Black Bone Pillow Purse Vintage 1930s Formal Shell Brass Evening BagThis is a gorgeous vintage 1930's brass and horn or bone pillow or shell purse in terrific condition. It has a a black horn or bone shell with brass accents, latch, hinge, chain and tassels. The interior has a pretty purple velvet lining that is in very good condition. The latch works perfectly to keep the purse securely closed. The purse measures approximately 6 inches in length by 5 inches in height, with the brass chain adding an additional 16
but is in good condition with no chips or cracks
It is hallmarked in the interior with the Elgin American logo
a central mother of pearl medallion with a beautiful hand painted portrait that is surrounded by gold and enamel accents
that show some wear from use and age
with only ever so slight signs of tarnish
It measures approximately 2 3/4 inches in length by 1 3/4 inches in width and is a bit over 5/8th inches in thickness
The guilloche is in fantastic condition with no damage
The lovely yellow guilloche medallion is over 1 inch in length and is hand painted with a pretty pink rose and green leaves
This is a very pretty and unique laydown perfume bottle made of wood inlay and a gold plated accents
It has a clip on each side of the interior
